During political season when I see a lot of election inspired ads or comments through via media, my reaction is usually not being thrilled. I find it is aggravating to see the same commercial over and over again. It’s not like I can flip of the TV and isolate myself from the election for a short time. The truth is there is no getting away from it. When I go on the internet there are ads everywhere, such as campaign for presidency right before I watch a YouTube video. Not to mention every day when I am driving the endless posters in people yards saying who to vote for, and why voting for or against something is important. I could continue on ranting how there is campaigning everywhere, but this does not mean it will stop. Plus no matter how much it annoys me I can do nothing about the situation. Although these are some reasons why election season is annoying, there can also be positives.
The positive of the overbearing ads that annoy me so much it I feel it helps me to become a more educated voter. Without the annoyance of keeping me informed I may have never took the time out to research about each candidate. These daily updates help others to inspire how others should vote, in order to help the United States. Overall with every aggravating ad comes a positive on not only making me, but others more educated voters. Never less to say I still cannot wait for the campaign season to be over!
I'm glad that it is turning you into an educated voter! Great!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your post. This will be my first time actually voting for our president, so I'm pretty excited in a way to be able to play a part in choosing our nation's leader. I don't get very thrilled when election time comes though because of all the ads. It seems like every other commercial on tv or the radio is about one of the two candidates ha! It's like, "Quit interrupting my show! Jeeze!" Ha! It does in a way make us all more educated on the election and each candidate's stance on certain issues. I guess without the annoying commercials and ads we wouldn't know what was going on. On the other hand, a lot of the ads can decieve people and twist the information to try to make that person look good. It's truly important to stay informed and not ALWAYS follow what the ads say, because they can change information around. It's good that you can look at the annoying part and make it a positive (:
